AQUARION AG FEATURES ADVANCED WATER TREATMENT SOLUTIONS FOR OIL & GAS INDUSTRY AT NEFTEGAZ

MOSCOW, 26 May, 2014 – Aquarion Group (Aquarion AG) will feature its portfolio of advanced water treatment solutions for the oil & gas industry at the 15th International Exhibition NEFTEGAZ’2014. Held in Moscow on 26-29 May at the exhibition centre SAO Expocentr in Krasnaya Presnya, NEFTEGAZ is a leading international trade fair showcasing equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Aquarion provides advanced water systems, solutions and technologies for the oil & gas industry as well as the energy sector and other process industries. The company offers a range of process equipment and services to both the upstream and downstream oil & gas markets, and covers both onshore and offshore requirements.

For the onshore sector, these solutions include produced water treatment, separation technologies, sludge dewatering, zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems, shale gas and recycling technologies, process water, condensate polishing, waste water treatment, spent caustic treatment, and recycling and reuse.

Solutions for the offshore market include produced water treatment, slop water treatment, seawater reverse osmosis, potable water systems, low salinity enhanced oil recovery, and sulphate removal systems (SRP).

Aquarion has recently introduced two technologies for applications in the oil & gas market

ZLD-ECO, an advanced hybrid zero liquid discharge system that further optimizes the ZLD process. ZLD-ECO utilizes innovative, proprietary pre-treatment processes to reduce thermal treatment, resulting in lower energy and chemical consumption and reduced capital cost.  ZLD-ECO lowers energy consumption by capturing and reusing the waste energy and recycling it for application in other process steps. This energy return optimizes flux rates with respect to membrane technologies. ZLD-ECO provides high recovery rates of 90-99 percent, depending on the source water

REDft® UF, an innovative membrane water treatment system that features reduced footprint membrane technology. The patented REDft process integrates a micro/ultrafiltration membrane into the high pressure reverse osmosis or nanofiltration module. It provides high quality water to the spiral membranes, allowing an increase in flux and reduction in cleaning frequency. Advantages of REDft over standard systems include a significant decrease in the system footprint, reduced number of components, and a reduction of the system tonnage (weight).

As a total enhanced EPC solution provider, Aquarion provides the best available technologies, high quality engineering, international expertise and local know how from its operations in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, USA, UK, Norway and Libya.
